Allantoin and urea contained in the cream penetrate deep into the skin to ensure that even the most callused skin will become soft and silky to the touch.
Urea is a natural compound which moisturises callused skin and effectively retains moisture. A lack of this compound causes dry and cracked skin. Urea penetrates deep into the epidermis, making it easier for other substances such as allantoin to make their way into the skin. It is also well known for its long-lasting keratoplastic effect on callused skin, which causes the affected cells to slacken. Allantoin also aids moisture retention in the skin to prevent it from drying out.
